Chinese Leaders Extend Condolences to Air Crash Victims' Kin

Leaders from China's State Council have expressed their sympathy and solicitude to the families of the victims who were killed in a plane crash in central China's Hubei Province Thursday afternoon.

A passenger aircraft of Wuhan Airlines was struck by lightning at about 15:00 PM as it was coming in to land. It exploded in the air and crashed near Sitai Village, Yongfeng Township in Hanyang District of Wuhan, killing all four crew members and 38 passengers aboard.

The State Council leaders have instructed the relevant departments and Wuhan Airlines to find out the cause of the accident as soon as possible and deal appropriately with the aftermath of the disaster.
