Chinese Vice-Premier Meets Kuwaiti GuestsChinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen met Thursday with Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, special adviser to Kuwaiti Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al- Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and his delegation.Nasser conveyed greetings of the Kuwaiti crown prince and prime minister to Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji and other Chinese leaders. He said that the Kuwaiti crown prince and prime minister is willing to further Sino-Kuwaiti cooperation in various fields. He briefed Qian on Kuwait's proposal for revitalizing the Silk Road in order to promote relations between China and countries in west Asia. Both sides had good discussions on this matter. During Nasser's stay in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan and senior officials from China's State Development Planning Commission met with him. Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister Ji Peiding also held talks with Nasser. |
