Air Crash Kills 42 in Wuhan
A passenger aircraft of Wuhan Airlines crashed Thursday afternoon in Central China's Hubei Province, killing all 42 on board including four crew members and 38 passengers.

The accident occurred at about 15:00 PM, when the landing Y-7 passenger plane, B3479, from Enshi City, southwest of Hubei, to Wuhan, the provincial capital, was hit by thunders, exploded in the air, and crashed near Sitai Village of Yongfeng Township in Hanyang District, Wuhan, according to local sources.

Local people, led by city leaders, are busy with rescuing.

Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.

According to the latest information, the black-box attached to the crashed aircraft has been recovered.

Meanwhile, four local people on the ground at the time the accident occurred are reported missing.
