Foreign Minister Tang and Albright Begin Talks
Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan and US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright have began talks in Beijing Thursday.
Albright arrived here early Thursday for a two-day visit.
During her stay in China, she is also expected meet Chinese state leaders.
Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhu Bangzao said that China sincerely hopes that the
United States
will strictly observe the three Sino-U.S. joint communiques and honor relevant commitments it has made, and take practical measures to promote a healthy and steady growth of bilateral ties.
