Container Line Between China and US Launched

The China Ocean Shipping Group (COSG) Wednesday launched a container freight shipping line between the port city of Lianyungang in east China and Los Angeles on the west coast of the United States.

This is the second container line between China and the U.S., following the inauguration of one between Qingdao in east China and the east coast of the US earlier this year.

So far, COSG has put into operation six container freighters with a total capacity of 2,000 containers on the two shipping lines.

COSG has a total of 94 container freighters capable of carrying a total of more than 100,000 containers. It operates shipping lines to Australia, Europe and Southeast Asia.
