Labor Companies Turn Eyes on Central China City

Representatives from 140 domestic and foreign labor cooperation companies gathered for a two-day international job fair Tuesday in this capital of central China' s Hubei Province.

The foreign countries represented included Germany, France and Singapore.

According to the organizers, more than 7,000 overseas jobs are available, mostly located in Southeast Asia. The openings are for construction workers, garment makers, nurses, cooks, tutors, seamen and waiters.

International labor cooperation is an important part of Wuhan's export-oriented economy. It has conducted labor cooperation with 70 countries and regions, sending 3,000 people overseas annually, accounting for one percent of the country's total overseas workers.
