Hangzhou Sets Up Innovation Funds

Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, recently set up a 100-million-yuan (12.5 million US dollars) fund for science and technology innovations.

This is part of the efforts of the city to attract more scientific and technological expertise and encourage the development of high-tech enterprises.

Hangzhou will also allocate a certain amount of money to train managerial staff.

About 10,000 people graduates every year in Hangzhou. It has 26 universities and some 80 research institutes.
