Western China Development Attracts HK & Macao Journalists
A delegation of 40-odd journalists from 26 media organizations in Hong Kong and Macao have arrived at Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi Province, to cover China's national program to spur development in western China.
Senior leaders of Shaanxi, Gansu and Qinghai provinces, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region briefed the group today about the steps they had taken in implementing the central government's western growth policy.
The delegation will tour four other provinces and autonomous regions in northwest China.
