Beijing Senior Official Meets Li Ka-shing

Jia Qinglin, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Wednesday with Li Ka-shing, chairman of Hong Kong Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd.

Jia thanked Li for his contribution to the city's urban construction over the past years and welcomed him to invest more in the Chinese capital.

Li Ka-shing expressed his willingness to offer more support for the construction of the Zhongguancun high-tech zone in western Beijing.

Beijing Mayor Liu Qi was present at the meeting.
