CPPCC Vice-Chairman Mourns Over Death of Japan's Empress Dowager Nagako

Song Jian, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and president of China-Japan Friendship Association, went to the compound of Japanese ambassador to China Wednesday, expressing condolences over the death of Japan's Empress Dowager Nagako, widow of late Emperor Hirohito.

Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Wang Yi was among those who also mourned over the death of the Japanese empress today.
