Chongqing Has More Foreign-Funded Enterprises
Chongqing Municipality in southwest China approved 53 foreign-funded enterprises so far this year, involving a foreign investment of 200 million US dollars.
These enterprises cover high-tech, machine-building, education and service sectors, said an official from the city's industrial and commercial bureau.
Some 30 multinational corporations now have investment in Chongqing and there has been an increasing overseas investment there since the central government initiated its campaign to develop its vast western region last year.
