Beijing University Sets Up Drug Control Research Institute

Beijing University has set up a drug control research institute in the drug prevention center at the Beijing Ankang Hospital.

It will conduct researches on drug management methods and cures for drug addicts, monitor and survey drugs and the new development of medicines.

The new base will also provide consultations and services to related departments on drug control.

The Beijing Ankang Hospital is the only compulsive drug- prevention center in Beijing. Since March of 1997 it has treated more than 4,000 drug addicts.
