CCB Offers Financial Services to Support Western DevelopmentChina Construction Bank (CCB) recently declared that it would support the development of west China by providing comprehensive financial services.A CCB official said that to further intensify support to the development of western regions and give full play to its business characteristics and services functions, CCB, while paying attention to improving the quality of assets and increasing economic benefits; will grant direct loan by the head office to major projects in western regions. These direct loans will go to supporting construction of major infrastructure projects, including highway, airport, natural gas pipelines, water conservancy, power grid, communication and broadcast and television network. Loans will be arranged appropriately in favor of western regions. It is said that since the beginning of this year, China Construction Bank has regarded support of the large-scale western development as the focus of the bank's important business. By the end of mid-June, the amount of newly increased loans extended by CCB branches in the western regions has reached 12 billion yuan. To expedite the pace of policy-making, CCB has decided to set up an information hotline between its head office and branches in the western regions so as to timely exchange information concerning important projects, strive to bring the major projects into early involvement, early handling and early evaluation. CCB has also decided to grasp the opportunity offered by the development of west China, vigorously promote intermediate business, intensify comprehensive service functions, enlarge the commission business including agency national debt funds, agency liquidation, and agency collection of taxes, actively develop the business of project cost budgeting, the auditing of budget and final accounts, project supervision, and assets evaluation, and provide the western enterprises with financial advice such enterprises financial transactions, listing planning, investment consultation, enterprises merger and purchase and bond issuance. |
