Chinese College Students Encouraged Into IT Industry

The Government in northeast China 's Liaoning Province will provide free offices and facilities to college students who want to start their IT business in an industrial zone.

To encourage more talented young people in high-technology, the local government set up the Park for those still at college.

Young aspiring entrepreneurs have a trial period for three months after which they can continue their businesses or give up.

Wang Jian, a senior at Northeast China University, said it was his dream to create his own website. He is working on a number of web page designs.

In two months, twelve companies have been set up by 38 college students.

Government regulations will allow students to take leave from their studies and set up IT businesses and then resume their studies later. Three postgraduates at Qinghua University were the first allowed to take leave from their studies and try their hand at IT business in January this year.
