Guangdong to Hold Sports Fair
The first Guangdong ProvincialSports Festival and 2000 China (Guangdong) international sportsCommodities fair will be held in Guangzhou, the provincial capital, from June 22-25.
The organizers said the event, sponsored by GuangdongProvincial Sports Affairs Administration and China Foreign TradeCenter (Group), is to promote the Ninth China National SportsGames, which are scheduled to be hosted by Guangdong in 2001.
More than 200 companies, 20 percent of which are from overseas, will display at the fair their products ranging from sports andbody-building equipment to sports clothing and footwear.
An auction will be held to sell sports equipment as well as the logo copyright for the China National games.
