Online Journalism Seminar Opens in ShanghaiMore than 100 on-line journalists, scholars and officials from the country's printing and broadcasting media gathered in Shanghai on Sunday to gain insight to the development of booming on-line communication in China.During the two-day seminar, sponsored by the All-China Journalists Association, practitioners and scholars will discuss such topics as the development of on-line journalism, rules for on- line news gathering and editing, copy rights and training of professionals for on-line media. At today's seminar, the All-China Journalists Association proposed the launching of "the Forum of Chinese Online Media." More than 20 news media including Xinhua News Agency, Guangming Daily, Economic Daily, China Central Broadcasting Station, China Central Television Station and China Radio International have expressed their willingness to join the forum. According to the proposal, the forum will organize annual seminar, conduct academic exchanges, training of professionals and academic research among traditional and on-line news media to promote the construction and development of on-line news media. |
