China's Anhui Sets Up First Private Venture Capital Company
East China's Anhui province recently set up a private venture capital company -- Hefei High-Tech Venture Capital Company Ltd.
A local source said that the investment focus of the company will be on telecommunications, software application, bio- engineering and other related high-tech sectors.
First introduced in the 1980s, the concept of venture capital is still new for many Chinese. Local experts have called for measures to support the growing and expanding venture capital market in China.
