China Approves More Overseas-funded Enterprises January-May
China approved 7,724 new overseas-funded enterprises from January to May, an increase of 22.37 percent over the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
These new enterprises have a total contractual overseas investment of 18.252 billion U.S. dollars, up 25.63 percent. Actual overseas investment stood at 12.762 billion U.S. dollars, 8. 21 percent lower than the same period last year.
Up to the end of May, China had approved 349,537 overseas- funded enterprises with 632.313 billion U.S. dollars of contractual overseas investment, and 320.614 billion U.S. dollars of actual overseas capital.
