Unmanned Car on Driving Test
The fourth model of a China-made unmanned car has recently passed a road test in the capital city of Hunan Province.
The car can perform all the normal functions that a driver could do such as starting the ignition, changing gears and parking.
The latest unmanned car, the fourth-generation model, was developed by the China National Defense Science and Technology University after a five-year effort. The car is capable of running at the maximum speed of 75.6 km/h.
The university started developing the first model of the car in the 1980s.
