China Prohibits Gambling at Football Game
China's Ministry of Public Security recently issued an emergency circular prohibiting any form of gambling at football matches of the 2000 European Championship.
Local police have uncovered football betting activities in Beijing, Sichuan, Guangdong and other places.
Local police have been ordered to conduct regular searches in recreational places. Gambling is illegal in China.
