Senior PLA Officer Leaves for Britain

Cao Gangchuan, director of the General Armament Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and a member of the Central Military Commission, left Saturday for an official and goodwill visit to Britain at the invitation of British Defense Ministry.

Li Jinai, political commissar of the General Armament Department, and Chen Dazhi deputy director of the department, saw Cao and his party off at the airport.
