Dunhuang, Yellow River Tourism Festival Opens

The Dunhuang and Yellow River Tourism Festival, sponsored by the National Tourism Administration and Northwest China's Gansu Provincial People's Government, opened Friday in this Capital of Gansu.

The 15-day tourism festival includes a trade fair, a tourism souvenir exhibition, a Yellow River swimming race and a Beijing- Lanzhou-Dunhuang bicycle race.

From June 22 to June 30, Dunhuang will hold festival to commemorate the world-famous "Sutra Cave" in the Mogao Grotto, discovered almost 100 years ago.
