A two-day Canada-Hong Kong Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Workshop ended Friday.
The workshop, aimed at facilitating professional exchanges and further development of the EIA process in Hong Kong and Canada, was one of the key events under the Canada-Hong Kong Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental Collaboration.
A delegation of Canadian experts shared with the participants their experience of environmental assessment at the workshop, said a spokesman for the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of Hong Kong Friday.
Apart from EPD officials, a number of EIA experts from professional institutes and representatives of other government departments were invited to attend the workshop, the spokesman said.
