Japanese Empress Dowager Nagako Dies: Kyodo
Japan's Empress Dowager Nagako, widow of Emperor Hirohito, died Friday, the Kyodo news agency quoted Imperial Palace sources as saying. She was 97.
The empress dowager had fallen into an extremely critical condition Friday morning after experiencing breathing difficulties since Wednesday night.
