21st Century Forum -- 2000 Conference Continues DiscussionConference 2000 Friday continued discussion on the topic of economic globalization and international economic cooperation.
Experts including Yuan Ming, director of the Institute of International Relations at Beijing University and Jusuf Wanandi, a member of the board of directors of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Indonesia, covered major issues related to the current international economic cooperation, and ideas for the reform of international finance and trade.
Shi Guangsheng, minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of China and Mickey Kantor, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, delivered speeches at the luncheon for the conference sponsored by the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
The forum opened in Beijing Wednesday and concluded Friday.
