Harbin Trade Fair Opens

The 11th China Harbin Economic and Trade Fair opened Thursday in this capital city of Heilongjiang Province, northeast China.

Zhang Xiang, Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC), said that since the Harbin Trade Fair started ten years ago, it has become a major trade fair as well as a window for China to develop market in Commonwealth Independence States.

The 7-day fair will attract over 4,700 businessmen from 47 countries and regions, and 1,036 domestic enterprises.

Since 1990, the Harbin Trade Fair has attracted over 50,000 overseas business people from nearly 70 countries and regions as well as 45.5 billion U.S.dollars in turnovers.
