Beijing to Promote Micro-electronic Industry: Mayor
Liu Qi, mayor of Beijing, said Thursday the capital will create better conditions for the development of its micro-electronic industry.
The mayor said the industry is of strategic importance for the development of the national economy and national security.
Development of micro--electronic industry will be included in Beijing's next five-year social and economic development program to be unveiled next year, and integrated into the city's information development strategy, said Liu.
Preferential policies such as cheaper land prices for plant construction, flexible value-added tax and private income tax will be offered.
