First Export Processing Zone in Beijing Got Approval

The Chinese government recently approved the establishment of Tianzhu Export Processing Zone in Beijing, which is located at Beijing Konggang Industrial Zone, one km west of Beijing International Airport.

Warehouses and other building have been built in the zone. Other facilities including banks, customs, insurance companies, office buildings, exhibition center, and entertainment facilities will be built soon.

Sixty enterprises including 23 well-known international firms such as Ericsson, Motorola and Sony have invested 890 million U.S. dollars in the zone.

In the first quarter of this year, enterprises in the zone exported 72 million U.S. dollars of products.
