Universities Urged to Nurture Young Academics

China needs to train more young academics, said Chen Zhili, minister of Education on June 15 in the capital.

Speaking at an awarding ceremony for 100 excellent young university teachers, Chen said that China has awarded 100 young excellent university teachers annually from last year, providing them with better working and researching facilities to nurture a generation of young leading scientists.

Knowledge and technical innovation have become crucial in the international arena and China must foster young talented academics, she said.
