The two sides have enhanced mutual understanding, reached a 5-point consensus on major issues such as independent reunification of the country and issued a joint declaration. The Chinese side believes that the Pyongyang Summit has produced important results and is thus a major event of historical significance. We are convinced that it will make valuable contribution to the maintenance of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
