Where Will China's B2B Go?

The development of the e-commerce between enterprises (business to business, B2B) is playing an important role in influencing and changing the operation and trading patterns of Chinese enterprises under the new economy.

In order to further spur Chinese enterprises to develop e-commerce and merge itself into the new economic system which takes network technology as the lead, the Shanghai Economic Commission, Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and China Enterprises Net (www.ce.net.cn)jointly held "China B2B E-Business Forum, Shanghai" in Shanghai International Conference Center on June 14 and 15.

The primary aid of the forum is to follow the latest trends of China's B2B, have discussions on its commercial patterns and make the best tactics, thereby spurring Chinese enterprises to develop e-commerce. More than 1,000 representatives from the government, enterprises, IT circles, transnational companies, colleges and universities and scientific research institutes attended the forum. Forty specially invited guests gave speeches. The "Fortune" journal is the major sponsor.

At Wednesday's meeting, Deputy Director of Shanghai Economic Commission Jiang Shangzhou, Vice-Ppresident of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Xie Duyang, Deputy Director of Policy and Regulation Department of the Ministry of Information Industry Ji Jinkui, Board Chairman of China Enterprises Network Yu Pinhai, Vice-President of the Asia-Pacific Region of SUN£¯NETSCAPEALLIANCE Fu Lihao, etc, all gave featuring lectures. Discussions on technology, business and policy were also carried out respectively at the forum. Deputy Director of Market Department of State Administration for Industry and Commerce Li Xiaokuan, Head of Information Security State Key Lab of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Zhao Zhansheng, President of Shanghai Post and Telecommunication Design Institute Wu Qinghua and Chief Technological Inspector of China Digital Information Co.,Ltd. Shen Jun delivered lectures respectively.
