Forest Fires Contained in Inner Mongolia
Forest fires that broke out in three areas in Da Hinggan Ling in north China's Inner
Mongolia
Autonomous Region have been contained, said an official from the state forest fire prevention office on June 14.
The fires were caused by lightening three days ago. No casualties have been reported.
The State Forestry Bureau issued an urgent circular on June 14 to Heilongjiang, Inner
Mongolia
and Jilin requesting authorities to be on guard against possible outbreaks of fire.
