Chinese Vice-Premier Meets Cuba and British Guests

Vice-Premier Li Lanqing Tuesday respectively met with Concepcion Campa, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPU) and David Blunkett, British secretary of state for education and employment.

Li expressed the hope that the friendly relations of cooperation between the CPC and the CPU would be enhanced, and that the two countries' cooperation in politics, economy, culture, education and science and technology would continue to develop.

In meeting with Blunkett, both sides discussed exchanges and cooperation in education, science and technology.

Earlier Tuesday, Blunkett and Chinese Minister of Education Chen Zhili signed a framework agreement on educational cooperation on behalf of their respective governments.
