Forum Participants Arrive in Beijing

A total of 25 Statesmen, experts and business executives from all around the globe have arrived in Beijing to attend the "21st Century Forum" to be held Wednesdat.

The forum's theme is economic globalization -- Asia and China and it was sponsored by the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Chinese government's top advisory body.

Altogether 29 such foreign dignities are expected to attend the forum and they are from Asia, Europe, America, Africa and Oceania, including Lee Kuan Yew, senior minister of Singapore, Sir Quett Marire, former president of Botswana, John Malcolm Fraser, former prime minister of Australia, Dr. Sven Sandatrom, executive vice- president of the World Bank, and Dr. Klans Schwab, president of the World Economic Forum.

The participants are expected to discuss economic globalization in the 21st century, especially its relation with Asia and China.

The honorary chairman of the organizing committee of the three- day forum is Li Ruihuan, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee.
