China To Hold Memorial Ceremony for Shun
South China's Hunan Province will hold a public memorial for Shun, a trial leader in ancient China, who lived several thousand years ago and is believed to be the founder of the traditional Chinese culture.
The ceremony will be held on September 9 by the municipal government of Yongzhou in Hunan Province.
Experts believe that Shun was buried at Jiuyishan mountain in Yongzhou.
The occasion is the first public event to mark a trial leader in ancient China since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
