Chinese NPC Delegation Ends Visit to Czech Republic

A Chinese delegation led by a vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, concluded a five-day visit to the Czech Republic on Tuesday morning and left for Hungary.

Vice-Chairman Buhe told reporters at the airport that he believed the visit had attained the goal of "further deepening mutual understanding, promoting friendship, increasing agreement and developing cooperation" between the two countries.

During his visit, Buhe met with Czech Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Vaclav Klaus, Vice Chairman Frantisek Brozik and other officials to discuss bilateral relations and economic cooperation.

He and the Czech officials agreed that there is no fundamental conflict between the two sides, so the two countries should further promote their existing friendly ties, Buhe said.

The Czech Republic is the second leg of Buhe's four-nation European tour following Poland. He will travel to Romania after visiting Hungary.
