China to Hold National Exams for Wardens

China's Ministry of Justice will hold its first national examinations for prison police in November this year, and those who failed in the exams will be removed from the posts, a ministry official said Tuesday.

The exams, focusing political theories, legal knowledge, professional skills, are aimed at enhancing the proficiency level of the country's prison wardens, he said.

According to a ministry plan, all wardens at or under the section chief level shall take part in the exams, and the first time failures will be sent to training camps.

Those who still cannot pass the exams even after receiving training programs shall be dismissed in accordance with related laws and regulations, the ministry official said.
