Visiting South Korean President Kim Dae-jung made a courtesy call on Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Tuesday afternoon.
During the brief meeting which began at 15:20 (0620 GMT) local time in the Mansudae Assembly Hall, or the DPRK's parliament, in central Pyongyang, the two leaders exchanged greetings in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Kim Dae-jung arrived Tuesday morning for the first inter-Korea summit since the division of the Korean Peninsula in 1954.
