Rural Distance Education Website OpenedChina's rural distance education website was opened in Beijing lately. Chen Yaobang, minister of agriculture called for agricultural departments at all levels and Chinese farmers to make full use of modern network technology to raise their scientific and technology culture quality.Co-sponsored by Central Agriculture Broadcasting and TV School and Farmers Technology Training Center under the Ministry of Agriculture, the website provides agriculture information, distance education information, technology training information services for mass agriculture broadcasting and farmer technology training systems. In the past two decades since its founding the school has recruited 3.25 million students, offering a wide range of courses such as plantation, aquatics breeding and 50 others. The opening of the website will help the school develop network agricultural education from its former broadcasting and TV education. |
