Chinese President Watches Ballet Performance

Chinese President Jiang Zemin watched a ballet performance at the China Theater with other senior officials on the evening of June 11.

The performance, titled "Moon Reflected In The Second Spring", features a tragic love story between a young musician and the daughter of his music tutor.

Soon after the performance was over, President Jiang, also General-Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, walked on stage and congratulated the dancers on their successful performance.

The performance was given by the Liaoning Ballet Troupe, founded in 1980.
