Army Helps Western Region Improve Environment
The Chinese army has taken great efforts to help the China's western regions improve its environment.
A senior official from the Lanzhou Military Area said his army is now implementing 10 projects, with the goal of curbing desertization in the area.
Chinese army will plant 3,667 hectares of greenbelts along rivers in Qinghai Province and 346.6 hectares of trees in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province.
The army will also help Shaanxi Province, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
