Russian State Ballet to be Held in China
The Russian State Ballet Theater of Moscow will present Chaikovski's classical masterpiece Swan Lake during its summer tour to China.
China International Youth Exchange Center and Century Performance Corporation announced here today that the Russian State Ballet plans to make their Beijing debut between July 14 and 16 at Century Theater.
The Russian State Ballet preserves the best traditions of the past and demonstrates the mastery of Soviet ballet, organizers said.
The theater is reviving the masterpieces which have made Russian ballet so prestigious and brought it worldwide recognition, they said.
Vyacheslav Gordeyev, artistic director of the theater, also enjoys world fame for his choreography of three ballet pieces and 30 other dance works.
