Olympic Day Run to Be Staged in Hong Kong

Runners in Hong Kong will enjoy themselves by participating in the 2000 Olympic Day Run on June 18 to promote Olympic ideals in Hong Kong.

Timothy Fok Tsun-ting, president of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, said Wednesday that this meaningful event would boost Hong Kong's bid for the 2006 Asian Games.

The Olympic Day Run is an annual global effort of the International Olympic Committee to spread the Olympic ideals throughout the world.
