China Unicom Has Ten Million Mobile Users
The China Unicom, the second largest mobile phone operator in China, has more than ten million mobile phone users.
Opening mobile networks in four cities in 1995, the firm enjoys nearly ten percent of mobile market shares.
China Unicom will have 15 to 18 million mobile phone users by the end of the year. The figure is expected to reach 55 to 60 million by 2005.
The China Unicom's mobile phone network capacity is 14 million and the figure will reach 30 million by the end of the year.
