China to Build Asia's Largest Auto City
Co-sponsored by China Auto Industry Company and Shenyang municipal government, Shenyang will hold its second international auto industry expo in August; preparations have already been made for building this largest auto city of Asia to better host the coming grand expo in Shenyang.
Mayor of Shenyang Mu Shuixin told newsmen at a press conference Thursday that his government has planned to build a special place to house the expo, China Auto City, to ensure the consummation of this grand event.
China Auto City, according to design, is to be an auto city with a construction area of 450,000 sq.m and a floorspace of 160,000 sq.m. For its integrated service and multiple function as an exhibition ground for auto show, information technology exchange, sale-after service and entertainment, the auto city will be China's largest auto distribution center and will also be the largest auto city in Asia, built at a cost of over 400 million yuan.
