Russian President to Visit North Korea

n President Vladimir Putin will pay a brief visit to North Korea at the invitation of North Korea's leader Kim Jong Il.
North Korea's official Central News Agency announced the visit Friday, but did not specified a date.
Japan's national broadcaster NHK says Putin's visit may take place just before a summit meeting of major industrialized nations to be held July 21-23 in Japan.
