Chinese Military to Have Lawyers

The Chinese military will have their own lawyers under a recent decision by the Central Military Commission, according to Wednesday's "Legal Daily" in Beijing.

Army commanders, divisions and brigades will have lawyers so as to meet the needs of military construction in the socialist market economy.

This is the first time that lawyers will became part of China's military. China's military has already set up over 270 legal consultant offices employing more than 1,700 military lawyers.
