Teleglobe Opens Beijing Office

The Canada-based Teleglobe Communications Corporation announced the opening of its Beijing Thursday.

Working with the local players in China, Teleglobe will provide total solutions to the broadband needs of carriers, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Internet Content Providers and business customers throughout the country, said Bob Collet, Teleglobe vice president of Data Services, at the opening ceremony.

"It is obvious that China is making tremendous investment to upgrade its information resources and to develop the software that will support them, we look forward to helping it maximize their investment in its telecommunications infrastructure," said Collet.

Many of China's leading telecommunications operators are Teleglobe customers and have established strategic business relationship with the company.

Teleglobe is a leading global provider of broadband services with the most extensive global Internet network. It now provides services to customers from more than 100 countries.
