Zhao Nanqi, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met Thursday with Roh Tae-Woo, former president of the Republic of Korea (ROK).
During the meeting, Zhao praised Roh Tae-Woo's efforts to promote Sino-ROK relations during his term as President. Roh first visited China in 1992, the year when the two countries forged diplomatic ties.
Roh Tae-Woo is here at the invitation of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs. In addition to Beijing, he will travel to Chongqing to attend a seminar on the future of China-ROK ties.
