Heroin Trafficking Gang Smashed in Guangdong

Police of south China's Guangdong Province detained 13 people suspected of dealing with heroin. According to local sources, 11 of the suspects are residents of Puning City, which falls under jurisdiction of Jieyang City, Guangdong Province.

In joint actions carried out on May 17 and on May 19, local police ransacked the trading dens used by the 11 members of the heroin trafficking gang in Puning City, seizing about 14 kg of heroin, nine kg of caffeine, as well as some mixing materials and tools to process heroin.

Police also confiscated three sedans cars, and 200,000 yuan (24, 096 U.S. dollars) in cash.

In another action, police also detained Ma Guangti and Ma Yulin, two heroin dealers from Yunnan, in Nanhai City of Guangdong, and confiscated one mini-bus used by the two suspected offenders for drug trafficking.

The case is still under investigations.
